- The 22-acre Cortesia Sanctuary is located approximately 6 miles from downtown Eugene, in the hills 1000 feet above the city. Take Willamette St. south into the hills to its deadend at Fox Hollow Rd. Turn right (west) onto Fox Hollow Rd, go 2 miles to junction with McBeth Rd (Fire station at junction). Curve right around fire station (now on McBeth Rd), slowly go a few hundred yards to sanctuary entrance on left (usually open metal gate; Nature Sanctuary sign). Drive down 1000 foot long driveway through woods and park in large open meadow on left, near residence and gardens.
