- I-80 to Exit 70-if coming from the West: Turn RIGHT at the end of the ramp onto 322 East and go for approximately 900 ft and turn RIGHT onto Potter Road. If coming from I-80 East, turn LEFT onto 322 EAST, cross over bridge and then go approximately 900 feet and turn RIGHT onto Potter Road. Follow Potter Road to a T and turn RIGHT. Stay on this road for 2.5 miles, crossing 1 lane bridge, continue on up the hill. Follow sign at Y and bear LEFT. Go for 1/4 mile down a hill and around a bend, until you see a blue roofed gray house on the left. The labyrinth is in the field right next to the house.

The Monaghan Labyrinth is unique in that it was designed to incorporate a portion of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) symbol into the design of the Chartres Labyrinth laid in the floor of the Chartres Cathedral, France around 1220. The portion of the Presbyterian symbol contained in the Monaghan Labyrinth are the flames (the fire of the Holy Spirit). A Celtic cross is also incorporated. - This small labyrinth is made by daffodils that pop up in the spring, forming the outline. Our house is at the top of a hill, with almost an acre of lawn in front of it. The labyrinth is at the bottom of the hill in the lawn. Late April/ early May. By late May, the foliage is dying back and the flowers are finished.
- Directions/notes:
- An ephemeral labyrinth, this is outlined in daffodils, which pop up and bloom in late April. By the end of May, the flowers are finished, the foliage is dying back, and the grass is growing. We mow the area in June, after the daffodil bulbs have had a chance to fatten up their bulbs for the next spring. And, poof, the labyrinth is gone.
