Directions/notes:: St. Luke's outdoor labyrinth and memorial garden opened in May 2009. Using the Chartres design, it represents the inner pilgrimage we are called to make to take us to the center of our being. The labyrinth facilitates meditation, prayer, and personal reflection. 12 stones surrounding the labyrinth represent the stations of the cross. Garden and labyrinth face Beltline and are always open, but are not lighted at night.

Directions/notes:: This labyrinth is behind the White's Chapel United Methodist Church, founded by settlers who came by wagon train from Dade County, Georgia, in 1871. A log meeting house was built and in use in February 1872. This was the first Methodist church in this vicinity. Many settlers rest in nearby cemetery. This is a spiritual labyrinth. The intent is for people to simulate a spiritual journey, complete with burdens that can be lifted upon completion. Stones are provided to simulate the burden, and an area in the center serves as a dropoff point. A stone already in the center should be hauled out, simulating helping others with their burden.
