Directions/notes:
The labyrinth is the heart centre of Te Moata and is situated by the stream on a potent energy line which runs through the land. The design of the labyrinth is based on the sacred geometry of the ancient labyrinth embedded in the stone floor of Chartres Cathedral in France. It is made of Te Moata red clay and hand moulded stones. This is a sacred space in which to symbolically walk your life's journey; a place of contemplation, celebration, ceremony, commitment and inspiration. Labyrinth at Mahara with Maumaupaki mountain in the background

Address:
436 Tapu Coroglen Road
Thames
New Zealand
view map
Directions/notes:
Mahara is on the Tapu/Coroglen road, half an hours drive north from Thames, The Tapu/Coroglen road is well signposted, and 1 hour from Coromandel. This is a classical seven circuit Labyrinth. It was made from earth walls originally but found it too hard to maintain. With the help of my daughter and son in law we planted it with 558 Buxus hedge plants that we had grown from cuttings. This was on 1st Sept 2007. All plants are growing fantastically well and a pleasure to walk. A ley line runs through the property giving and extra potent energy.
