Directions/notes:
As you leave the town of Lyons on Highway 7 (heading toward Allenspark), the Lyons Memorial Labyrinth can be found on the left side of the highway, at the trail head of the South St. Vrain Creek. Due to the Great Front Range Flood of 2013, the trail was covered in water and mostly destroyed, but if you turn right just after entering the trail that used to lead to Bohn Park, you can find the labyrinth by the creek. The labyrinth was built of river rocks that were left behind after the flood on the one-year anniversary of the flood. The Gutter Artist has been adding stones to the labyrinth. All are welcome to this Public Open Space Memorial Labyrinth.

view map
Directions/notes:
Take C-470 to I-25 or I-25 South to Lincoln Ave. (exit #193), go east on Lincoln towards Parker. Once you get to Parker Road (about 5 miles) and Lincoln, cross over Parker Rd. and the road T's about a 1/2 mile up. Take the T to the right (which is Pine Dr). From this spot, it is 7 miles to my home, about 15 minutes. You will follow this road through residential Parker,(it changes names a few times, but stay on this main road) as a landmark- at 3.8 miles, on your right, you will see Ave Maria, a large catholic church/school, continue out of town for 1 mile and on your right there will be a big horse facility with white fencing called "Double T stables", at the end of the fence is Tomahawk Road, take a Right on Tomahawk Rd and
travel 1 mile until the road "Y's, take a Left (which is still Tomahawk) the road turns to gravel shortly, follow this and at 1 mile the road has a sharp Left turn and changes into Cherokee, continue on about 1/8th mile and you will take the next right which is Awl Rd. We are the first house on the right, BUT DO NOT park in main driveway, go past mailbox and turn into the second driveway on the right, you will see a large stone sign "Golden Shadow Healing Center" immediately before the gravel driveway, turn in and park. The Labyrinth is located directly West of the garage. Walk the flagstone path to the opening of the Labyrinth. There is a bench and sitting area to enjoy as well.

The labyrinth is mostly the inspired creation of Mrs. Bobbie Ebert, a long time member. Bobbie intended it to be in the shape of a tree. The entry stone is a piece of petrified wood that Bobbie says represents our beginning in creation (the pattern in the wood looks like a picture of the cosmos or Milky Way). The entrance path leads to the center and from there a winding path leads from the center and back to the center. At the center is a black polished marble that reflects the image of the walker at the center. Bobbie says that this is intended to provide the opportunity to look within and behold the inner self.
