A Lattice Labyrinth Tessellation is a "tiling" (think infinitely-extendable jigsaw puzzle) in which each piece is of identical labyrinthine shape, as intricate as you like but always fitting perfectly together. each piece is made up of corridors of square or triangular tiles only one tile in width. They may be branching but are not maze-like because their shape is not arbitrary and designed to confuse but follows logically from elegant mathematics that can be comprehended. The example to be seen is only a "baby" in an infinite family of possibilities of apparently bewildering but actually elegantly simple shapes, which is the defining characteristic of labyrinths as opposed to mazes.
